The Last Wolf

The highlight of the entire department is the last wolf of the Odenwald. He was shot in the town forest on 12 March 1866. He was the greatest sight for many people from Eberbach, who were no longer afraid when they walked through the forest since then. He was on display in the old town hall and has now kept his place in the museum.

Killed wolf

Children in particular like it very much, even though immigrant wolves have recently been reappearing in the Odenwald.
