The wall following the landing upwards is dedicated to the artists of the 20th century.
In addition to rare paintings by Richard Hemberger, mainly paintings by Heiner Knaub (1904 - 1975) hang here.
After 1928 he had studied at the Bauhaus in Dessau with Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky. His work shows influences of painting from both. He painted landscapes in the Neckar Valley, flowers, the Old Bridge, the Ohrsberg
or motifs in the city or on the Mediterranean. Although he worked as a trade teacher in Eberbach, his work was known to only a few. On the initiative of the artist and art teacher Armin Stähle, the bookseller and art collector Egon Hassbecker (1924-2013) took care of Knaub's work. He organised several exhibitions through which his work became known posthumously.
